MS Fridtjof Nansen is one of the latest additions to the HX fleet of custom-built ships - and a next-generation expedition ship. She explores some of the most spectacular corners of the globe.
The stunning scenery will be reflected in a rich and comfortable interior design. Scandinavian materials from nature, such as granite, oak, birch, and wool, are used to create relaxed and stylish cabins and public areas. All cabins are outside, 50% have private balconies, and aft suites feature private outdoor hot tubs with spectacular views.
One of the latest additions to the fleet honors the heritage of her namesake - the Norwegian explorer, scientist, humanitarian, and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Fridtjof Nansen. Known for his innovations in Arctic expeditions, Nansen led the first crossing of Greenland on cross-country skis. He is perhaps most famous for his attempt to reach the geographical North Pole during the Fram Expedition (1893-1896).
Unlock your inner scientist with these hands-on experiences helping you to get a better understanding of the world around where HX sails. From researching the impact of climate change on animal populations and sea ice to getting a better understanding of migratory patterns of marine life, there are a range of projects to get involved with as HX ventures to many beautiful off-the-beaten-track locations.
Every day of your expedition cruise, your tastebuds will get the opportunity to explore. In each of the onboard restaurants, the skilled chefs create exciting menus using ingredients from the areas HX travels.
Your ship comes equipped with a full suite of facilities to maintain an active lifestyle. From an indoor gym to a wellness center for both body and mind, you'll find everything you need to feel fully rejuvenated.
