AI-Powered Robotics Take Centre Stage at Sea
MSC Cruises is taking entertainment at sea to the next level in 2026 with a refreshed programme for all ages.
This year, guests sailing with MSC Cruises will enjoy a range of brand-new and updated experiences across the fleet, from vibrant parties and interactive game shows to digital experiences and live music, there’s something for every type of traveller – including, in a world-first, AI-powered robot dogs from Unitree Robotics, currently being piloted on board in Asia.
In a first for the cruise industry, MSC Cruises is piloting AI-powered robotic dogs, accompanied by humanoid robots developed by Unitree Robotics, on board select ships.
The initiative is already being tested on MSC World Asia and will soon be available on MSC World America in Asia, as well as during a segment of the MSC World Cruise 2026.
Guests will be able to enjoy meet-and-greet sessions with the robots, a robot-themed parade, and interactive robotics workshops for children aged 7+, designed to introduce them to robotics and future technologies in a fun and creative way. The robots will also make special dance appearances during the cruise line’s popular Doremix Family Disco
Revamped Signature Events for 2026
Guest-favorite events will return with a fresh new look in 2026, including a fully renewed ’70s Party rolling out fleetwide with refreshed music, upgraded costumes, and enhanced interactive experiences.
Twenty new Big Band performances will debut on MSC Virtuosa, which will also feature the highly anticipated Dirty Dancing: In Concert. Meanwhile, MSC Seascape and MSC Seashore will launch a complete refresh of their main production shows. Guest favourite Paz, a popular Flamenco show, will make its return to MSC Grandiosa.
Dueling Pianos, long popular with guests, will be introduced to MSC Euribia, along with a brand-new American Country Band experience, a live entertainment concept designed especially for country music enthusiasts.
Brand-New Interactive Shows
Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy two new original shows launching in 2026. Chart Toppers is a high-energy music game show celebrating the biggest hits from the 1970s to today, while Quiz O'Clock: The Battle offers a competitive twist on the cruise line’s classic quiz show format.
Following a successful pilot, MSC Cruises’ Professional Coaches Programme — covering sports, wellness, and arts and crafts — will expand to 15 ships in 2026, giving guests even more opportunities to stay active and try something new while at sea.
Enhanced Family Entertainment with LEGO
MSC Cruises will also expand its guest-favorite LEGO Parade from seven to 14 ships in 2026. The popular parade, which brings together seven LEGO mascots alongside MSC's beloved mascot Doremi, will be gradually rolled out to MSC Meraviglia and MSC Seaview, among others.
Meanwhile, across the fleet, the MasterChef at Sea experience will feature refreshed formats tailored for adults, children, and teens.
Families can also look forward to a refreshed, digital-first LEGO Family Game Show launching fleetwide following its successful pilot on MSC Seaside. The new format will culminate in a high-energy final round designed to spark creativity among both children and parents, immersing them in a vibrant setting surrounded by LEGO bricks and mascots.
Inspiring Young Minds with Ocean Day
In addition, a new educational entertainment programme — Ocean Day by the MSC Foundation — will be rolled out fleetwide. Designed to inspire younger guests through interactive learning and play, the programme reflects MSC Cruises' continued commitment to combining fun with meaningful experiences at sea.
