DreamWorks Characters Heading Down Under

Royal Caribbean will debut its exclusive DreamWorks Experience at Sea in Australasia when the 138,000gt Voyager of the Seas arrives in Port Hedland on November 2 for a maiden season Down Under.

The 3,114-passenger ship will visit Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart and New Zealand before arriving in Sydney on November 22 for a cruise programme that runs until March 2013.

Since being introduced on Allure of the Seas in 2010 and then rolled out to another four ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet, the DreamWorks Experience has been incredibly popular with guests, said Adam Armstrong, commercial manager of Royal Caribbean Cruises Australia.

Armstrong said the penguins in Madagascar will be on board, together with Po from Kung Fu Panda, Shrek, Princess Fiona, Puss in Boots and many more of the DreamWorks animated characters.

He said the young and young-at-heart will have the opportunity to meet them at character breakfasts in the main dining room and at street parades along the Royal Promenade.

They will also make surprise appearances at the Adventure Ocean youth centre.

Also, 3-D DreamWorks films will be screened in the 1,350-seat cinema and DreamWorks films will be available in cabins 24/7.
