Disney Has Exclusive Adventures in Saint John

When Disney Magic arrives for its first call to New Brunswicks Saint John in June, Aquila Tours will be guiding passengers on 20 excursions throughout the region including two exclusive experiences, all developed closely with Disney Cruise Line, according to Aquilas Beth Kelly Hatt.

On one Disney-exclusive adventure, families will meet Alice in Wonderland during a visit to the award-winning Kingsbrae Garden in St. Andrews. During the Garden Tea Party, they will explore the garden, recently named one of the Top Five North American Gardens Worth Travelling For, participate in a ladybug release and partake in a tea party with Alice.

On another Disney-exclusive adventure, Whale of a Time at the New Brunswick Museum, families will learn about Bay of Fundy tides and examine whale bones as they become Bay of Fundy Tide Experts. Next, children will be invited to paint tiles for a whale-inspired mosaic created by local artist Sheryl Crowley that will be permanently displayed in one of Saint Johns cruise terminals.

In addition, to commemorate Disneys inaugural visit to Saint John, Aquila will adopt a whale through the North Atlantic Right Whale Adoption Program on behalf of every group participating in the Whale of a Time adventure.

Most of the programs offered by Disney and Aquila are in the heart of the city. They include a Reversing Falls Rapids Jet Boat Ride, Hike, Bike and Paddle in Rockwood Park, Stonehammer Geopark Tour and trolley rides, to name a few.

Other choices include the opportunity to walk on the ocean floor on a full-day tour to the iconic Hopewell Rocks, and an interactive tour in Fundy National Park where families can catch and catalog a variety of critters and learn about the Bay of Fundy maritime environment.

Disney Magic arrives on June 13, with eight more calls to follow throughout the summer.
