Five previously announced Holy Land sailings on Celebrity Silhouette in 2012 have been modified, along with four Mediterranean cruises on Celebrity Solstice round-trip from Barcelona which will add more Western Med ports and an overnight in Venice.
The changes concern Celebritys largest Europe program, with six of its 11 ships on the Continent in 2012, including the new Celebrity Reflection. The earlier outlined deployment includes new sailings from Venice and first-time Iceland and Norwegian Fjords cruises.
New from Sept. 7 through Nov. 18, Celebrity Constellation will operate seven 12-night Immersive Europe Wine Cruises to France, Spain and Portugal and featuring a number of overnight port stays. Bookings open on Friday.
Each cruise starts with three consecutive overnights, in Le Havre (for Paris/Normandy), Le Verdon (for Bordeaux) and Bilbao. Vigo and Porto are other calls. Tours and tastings will feature renowned wineries, grape harvesting and insight into the blending and aging of port wine in Porto.
Celebrity said the on-board program will reflect the regions visited, with activities developed in partnership with local wineries and including Rioja tastings, Champagne brunches, Bordeaux samplings, port wine and food pairing dinners and more. A seasonal wine package with regional selections also will be available.
A two-night cruise departing Amsterdam on Sept. 5 can be taken on its own or combined with the Sept. 7 sailing for a 14-night cruise. Celebrity Constellations 15-night trans-Atlantic voyage to the US now will depart Southampton Nov. 30, 2012, with visits to LeHavre, Lisbon and Tenerife, en route to Miami.
Celebrity Silhouette has five revised itineraries. For example, the 13-night Eastern Mediterranean and Greek Isles cruise departing Civitavecchia on Aug. 22 will call at Naples, Catania, Mykonos, Rhodes, Santorini, Chania (Souda), Piraeus and Valletta, ending with an overnight stay in Venice.
The following 13-night cruise round-trip from Venice will visit Koper, Split, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Corfu, Valletta, Messina, Bari and Ravenna. The Sept. 17, Oct. 11 and Oct. 23 cruises were changed, too.
The new Celebrity Solstice sailings include a 12-night Mediterranean voyage on May 11 to Dubrovnik, Ajaccio, Toulon, Naples, Civitavecchia and La Spezia, with a Venice overnight. Other revised routes include the 12-night cruises on June 28, Aug. 15 and Oct. 2.
From Friday to Dec. 16, Celebritys Captains Club members who book any 2012 Europe cruise of at least nine nights will receive an on-board credit of $400 per suite, $225 for each AquaClass or ConciergeClass stateroom, $175 for each veranda stateroom and $125 for each inside or ocean-view stateroom.
