Your introduction to Corfu begins when you step aboard a comfortable minibus for the scenic ride to Achilleion Palace, the former retreat built for Empress Elisabeth of Austria. While the interior of the palace is closed for renovations and will not be visited, the palace gardens remain open for guests to explore. Enjoy a guided visit through the elegant outdoor grounds, admire the sculptures reflecting the Empress’s fascination with Greek mythology, and capture photographs of the beautiful surroundings and scenic coastline.

Continue your cultural experience with a tasting of local Corfiot products. Depending on the season and availability, you may sample kumquat products and liqueurs, olive oil, traditional sweets, local wine, limoncello, and other regional specialties. This tasting offers an enjoyable introduction to some of the distinctive flavors and culinary traditions of Corfu.

Upon arrival in Corfu’s Old Town, you will have free time to wander its narrow streets and admire the blend of Greek, Venetian, French, and British architectural influences for which the town is known. You will also encounter notable landmarks such as Spianada Square, the Liston, and the Old Fortress.

This small-group excursion offers a memorable introduction to Corfu’s history, architecture, local culture, and traditional flavors.

Please note: The interior of Achilleion Palace is closed for renovations, which are currently expected to continue until approximately 2030. This tour does not include entry inside the palace.
